Melina Mayorga is a Salvadorian model and beauty pageant contestant who represented El Salvador in Miss Universe 1996, where she finished as sixth-runner up (7th place).〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Universe_1996 )〕 ==Biography== Born in San Salvador, her father was a doctor and her mother originated from Venezuela. After graduating from high school, Mayorga became a model for Willie Maldonado in the longest-running TV program in El Salvador, ''Fin de Semana''. In the 1996 Miss Universe, Mayorga reached the top 10; making it El Salvador’s 2nd consecutive top 10 placement at the Miss Universe (Eleonora Carrillo made the top 10 in 1995). After Miss Universe, Mayorga went on to be a news presenter for ''Teledos'', in the Telecorporación Salvadoreña from 1999 to 2005.
